Let’s talk about last night’s surprise birthday dinner for 2! Honestly, I love a good surprise meal!! There’s nothing like seeing someone’s face light up when they realize a private chef is at their door — and an entire evening has been planned just for them. This birthday feast was filled with her absolute favorites — all inspired by dishes from restaurants she’s loved over the years: – Whipped ricotta toast (yum!) – Summer panzanella (double yum!) – Handmade pasta with mushroom truffle sauce (the lightest pasta I have ever tasted!) – And the grand finale: molten chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream As I left for the evening I got the best compliment a chef could ever receive… “I think that might have been the best meal of my life!” Now that is a good birthday present!!
